What’s in Pro
- Bulk Publisher conversion (available at launch). Pick lots of .pub files or a whole folder. Each one becomes a PDF and a Word document with its words and pictures, and you get them all in one ZIP that keeps your folders. Files that can’t be read are listed in a report inside the ZIP.
- No ads (available at launch). Ads are switched off on every Altto page on devices where your key is active.
- Coming to Pro next: extra templates, mail merge from a spreadsheet (CSV), and saved brand colours and fonts. You won’t pay more for these.
Pro reads Publisher files the same way the free tool does: it recovers the words and the JPEG and PNG pictures, not the original page layout. Try one of your files free before you buy.
How it works
- Choose a plan. Checkout is run by Lemon Squeezy, a UK-VAT-registered payment provider that acts as our reseller.
- Lemon Squeezy emails you a licence key and a receipt.
- Paste the key into Altto once on each device. It is checked with Lemon Squeezy and then re-checked about once a week. Your files are never sent anywhere.
- If a subscription ends, Altto quietly goes back to the free tools. Nothing you made is lost: it is all on your computer.
Cancelling, refunds and your rights
Your 14-day right to cancel. UK law gives you 14 days to cancel most online purchases. For digital content like Altto Pro, that right ends once supply starts, but only if you agree to that. When you buy, you will be asked to confirm that you want Pro to start straight away and that you understand you lose the right to cancel once your licence key is delivered. If you have not activated your key, email us within 14 days and we will refund you in full.
Cancelling a subscription. Cancel any time in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal: use the “Manage subscription” link in your receipt email, or sign in with your email at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for and then stops; you won’t be charged again. We don’t give partial refunds for unused time.
The Archive rescue pass is a single payment, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. It runs for 30 days from when you first activate it on a device.
If something doesn’t work. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected: digital content must be as described and work properly. If Pro doesn’t do what this page says, email contact@altto.co.uk and we will fix it or refund you. Refunds are paid by Lemon Squeezy to the card you used.

Do the free tools stay free?
Yes, forever. Every converter and tool on Altto, including opening one .pub file at a time, stays free with no sign-up. Pro adds bulk conversion and removes ads for people who need more.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Pro runs on your own device exactly like the free tools. Only your licence key is checked with our payment provider; your files never leave your computer.
Do I need an account?
No. After you pay, Lemon Squeezy emails you a licence key. Paste it into Altto once on each device you use. There is no password to remember.
How many devices can I use?
Altto Pro and the Archive rescue pass work on up to 3 devices. Altto for Organisations covers up to 10 people or devices.
What exactly does bulk conversion keep?
The same as the free single-file tool: the words in order and the JPEG and PNG pictures in each file, saved as PDF and Word. It does not rebuild the original page layout, fonts or columns. Try a file free first to see what you will get.
Can I get a VAT invoice?
Yes. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller (merchant of record) and issues a receipt that works as a VAT invoice. Businesses can add their VAT number at checkout.
