Altto is provided "as is", free of charge, to help convert text-based PDF files into Word (.docx) documents. Conversion quality depends on how the source PDF was created; Altto does not guarantee an exact visual match to the original. See our formatting guide for what to expect.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the files you convert and for having the right to use and edit their content. Don't use Altto to process content you don't have permission to handle, or for any unlawful purpose.
No warranty
Altto is offered without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, this tool, including data loss, formatting differences, or missed deadlines, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Advertising
This site displays advertisements served by third-party networks, including Adsterra, to support free access to the tool. Ads are separate from Altto's own content, and we don't control their specific content. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work.
Intellectual property
The design, text, and code of this site belong to Altto. The PDF-reading and document-building libraries used to power the converter are open-source and used under their respective licences.
