How the leaderboards work
  • Every finished test goes on automatically under the nickname you used before, or a made-up one like “Swift Otter 42”. Straight after the test you can change the name or take your score off.
  • IQ test: the full 20-question test and the 40-question Complete test count (the quick test doesn’t). Highest score wins.
  • Typing speed: the standard 1-minute test without punctuation. Highest words per minute wins; accuracy is shown alongside.
  • Reaction time: your average of five goes. Lowest time wins.
  • Brain training: your best daily workout score of the week, out of 1,000.
  • Each device keeps its best score of the week. Ties go to whoever got there first. The weekly boards close every Friday at midnight (UK time).
  • Hall of Fame: every week’s top three stay there for good. Winners get a gold Weekly Champion certificate with its own ID that anyone can check, a 🏆 next to their name, and a 👑 on the board while they defend their title. The certificate appears on the device they played on, the next time they visit.
  • Showdown: every weekend the top 3 on each board face off. Each finalist gets one go at exactly the same challenge (the same IQ questions, typing words, reaction waits or brain games), any time on Saturday or Sunday. 4th place is the reserve and steps in if a finalist doesn’t play. Results on Monday, and the winner gets a Showdown Champion certificate.
  • All-time points: every finished week earns points: 25 for 1st, 18 for 2nd, 15 for 3rd, then 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 down to 10th, plus 1 point for every board you’re on. Play on more than one device? Sign in so they count as one player.
  • Badges such as “🏅 Top 3 twice before” show how a player did in past weeks on that board (last 6 months), not their place this week.
  • Nicknames are public, so don’t use your full name. Rude names, links and phone numbers are blocked, and entries that break the rules or look impossible are removed. You can take your own score off straight after the test; otherwise contact us.
