Quick answer: open the free flyer template in Altto Layout, replace the event name, date, details and time, then save it as a print-ready A4 PDF. It runs in your browser, needs no sign-up and nothing is uploaded.
Publisher flyers were the go-to for fairs, jumble sales, club nights and open days. This is an original A4 portrait event flyer: a coloured header with the date and event name, a block of details with bullet points, and a box at the bottom for the time and place. It is built from ordinary text and shapes, so you can change all of it.
How to make your flyer
- Click Open the flyer template. The editor opens with the sample flyer on the page.
- Double-click the headline, date and details and type your own. Delete the bullet points you don’t need or add more.
- Change the colours and fonts from the side panel to suit your event, and add a logo or photo as a picture.
- Choose PDF to print on A4, or PNG/JPG to post on social media or send in a message.
Tips for a flyer people read
- Put the what, when and where where they can be found in a second: the date and event name at the top, the time and place in the box at the bottom.
- Keep the details short. A few lines and a few bullets beat a paragraph.
- Print at 100% (“actual size”) on A4. Home printers can’t print to the paper edge, so the design keeps its text away from the margins.
- Want A5 handouts? Ask a print shop to scale the A4 PDF down, or print two to a sheet and cut.
Other designs in the same editor: certificate, 2027 calendar, newsletter, menu, invitation and business card. It can also open old .pub files.
