Quick answer: open the free invitation template in Altto Layout, type your event, date and place over the sample text, then save it as a PDF or image to print or send. It runs in your browser, needs no sign-up and nothing is uploaded.
Publisher used to be the easy way to make a party, wedding or christening invitation. This is an original A5 portrait invitation with a soft pink background, a thin border, a heart, a script-style name and clear lines for the date, time, place and reply-by date. It is a birthday sample, but the wording is all editable text, so it works for any occasion.
How to make your invitation
- Click Open the invitation template. The editor opens with the sample invitation on the page.
- Double-click any text to change it: who is invited, the occasion, the date, the venue and the reply-by line.
- Change the colours and fonts from the side panel to suit the event. Swap the heart for another shape if you like.
- Choose PDF to print, or PNG/JPG to send it by text, WhatsApp or email.
Tips for printing and sending
- A5 is half of A4. Most home printers print A5 on A4 paper; trim along the edge, or ask a print shop for A5 card.
- Print at 100% (“actual size”), not “fit to page”.
- Always include a reply-by date and a phone number or email so guests know how to answer.
- For a digital invitation, save a PNG or JPG: it opens on any phone without an app.
Other designs in the same editor: certificate, 2027 calendar, flyer, newsletter, menu and business card. It can also open old .pub files.
